Dear California Dry Cleaner:

My name is Thomas deArth.

For the last 25 years I have helped dozens and dozens of California dry cleaners just like you.

If your company has operated at its current location since 1986, (whether or not you've personally owned it for that long), then this may be the most important letter you ever read.

Because my company Genesis Engineering can detect, clean-up, and eliminate all Perc related problems, including lawsuits...

At NO COST To You...
While Your Business Continues To Operate!

You'll never have to close your doors. Not even for a day.

Just leave the Perc problems, (also known as perchloroethylene or PCE), to me and my team of experts.

My staff is full of very smart and experienced people. Over 70% of them have advanced PhD and Masters degrees... including a PhD Geologist, a PhD Hydrogeologist, PhD Chemist, PhD Biologist, Civil and Mechanical Engineers, and Environmental Scientists.

All combined, we have HUNDREDS of years experience helping dry cleaners.

I also have a crack legal team on hand. These are seasoned pros capable of handling the most complex lawsuits and environmental cases. They've been doing it for over 26 years and are here to protect YOU.

That means you'll NEVER have to deal with insurance carriers... or your local Regional Quality Control Board... or the County Environmental Health Office... or the California Department Of Toxic Substance Controls... the U.S. EPA... or anyone else.

Nope. If you want...

I’m The Only Person
You'll Ever Need To Speak With!

I guess you could say I’m in the business of rescuing dry cleaners.

It's just so rewarding removing the burden and liability of Perc for business owners worried sick about contamination on their property.

They're good folks just like you... scared that Perc could be hurting members of their community... frightened of lawsuits from neighboring businesses... the $500,000 to $20 million in clean-up costs... whopping fines from city, state and federal regulators... the chance of strapping their kids with a huge liability... and the real possibility of losing everything they've worked so hard for over the years.

And that's why this message is so important to you.

Here's what's happening: You already know that Perc is a marvelous cleaning solvent. There are few things better at removing grime and stains from clothing.

Back in the early 80's it was considered absolutely safe, (which is why OSHA actually forced dry cleaners to switch from Stoddard to Perc), and most dry cleaners legally disposed of Perc down the drain... or simply dumped it out their back door.

There was no indication that anything was wrong with that.

But it turns out there was a BIG problem: What nobody knew was that Perc was harmful to people.

And because of its unique ability to quickly penetrate concrete floors and travel easily through soil... a spill of as little as one-half gallon can mean...

A ONE MILE
Plume of Contamination

It's a spine-chilling thought. But that's where I come in.

Let me to share with you a few stories from our files where we were able to help dry cleaners who -- through no fault of their own -- were at a crisis when they came to me:

  • Case #1: Two Southern California sisters were slapped with a “Notice of Violation” and $250,000 in fines while securing a loan against their dry cleaner. Turns out a routine “Phase 1” real estate investigation revealed Perc contamination. I stepped in, (at NO cost to them) had the fines dropped, the Perc cleaned up, and got the State of California to issue the NFR Release to free up their asset with the bank. The women got the loan (for their mom's medical care), PLUS an additional $200,000 in settlement fees.
  • Case #16: A Los Angeles dry cleaner was sued for $150,000 after Perc contaminated his neighbor's property. We cleaned up the mess (without interrupting his business), got a release of liability for both the dry cleaner's property and the neighbor's property... and had the lawsuit completely settled (along with the legal fees for both parties) -- all with NO expense to the dry cleaner and while he continued to operate his business.
  • Case #24  (my favorite): 84-year-old "Betty" of Artesia, California. She proudly ran her dry cleaning business for 38 years. It took $2 million to clean up her property, but not a penny came out of her pocket. She was able to pass on a major asset to her kids and grandkids without worry -- and with NO strings attached.

I've got plenty more stories just like these. All with happy endings.

One woman told me that after she received a full release from the state of California, she had a good night's sleep for the first time in many years.

I'm so glad I could be a part of that.

There's nothing better than worry-free sleep.

Here's what you should do now: Call me right away at: 1-866-910-7477

Someone will be available to take your call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There's no bad time to call. Even if you're only curious, you should call.

Tell the operator that "I am a dry cleaner and want to talk with Thomas about Perc."

We'll take it all from there. Most times I'm in the office. If not, the operator will get your info and arrange a time for me to talk with you personally, to see if you qualify.

Or you can simply fill out the "Priority Message Form" at the bottom of this page. When you hit "submit", your message will be sent directly to my email. I'll get back to you immediately.

I do not hand you over to some secretary or associate. You'll always be dealing with me directly.

After our initial interview, I will send my experts to your business site to take samples of groundwater and soil. Sometimes there's NO contamination - which can be an enormous relief right there.

If there IS contamination... we roll up our sleeves and get right to work.

I won't go into all the complex details of the clean-up, but it involves determining how big the contamination plume is... how far its migrated laterally and vertically... the design of a remedial system (based on soil and where the groundwater is located)... bacterial analysis to assess potential for reductive dechlorination... and a lot more.

The actual cleanup typically involves injecting safe and easy to handle organics like cheese whey, molasses, vegetable oil, or any one of 25 other substances that act as electron donors...

To Render The Perc Harmless

The good news is that you don't have to understand what ANY that means.

Just know that we won't ever have to haul out truckloads of soil... or tear up your property... or anything like that.

We work quietly and discretely. In many cases neither the customers nor neighboring businesses ever knows there's a "cleanup" in progress. We'll even work at night if need be.

I can honestly say that there are few things in life better than helping someone SAVE their business... their life savings... and their children's inheritance.

It's what I do.

But it's best if you call my office or submit your info below as soon as possible.

I am now in the process of contacting other dry cleaners like yourself and scheduling out the time and resources of my company. So the sooner you call, the better.

I will be deeply involved in every phase of fixing this problem for you -- from beginning to end.

It's why clients like Betty now consider me practically a part of the family. She still sends me Christmas cards. I attended her daughter's wedding last June.

It's wonderful. I have the best job on earth.

   Warm Regards,
Thomas deArth

"If not for Thomas and Genesis Engineering, I would be in financial dire straits. There were over $1.4 Million in related environmental costs for cleanup activities. But thanks to Thomas, I did not pay a penny of my own money. Thomas took care of everything! In addition to the environmental engineering costs, Thomas made sure that all other costs such as those for the regulators and the lawyers (when I was sued by a neighbor) were paid for. Thomas saved my business and retirement!"
-- Betty Seade, Dry Cleaner, Artesia, CA.

"When I acquired some investment property, I had no idea that I would find myself dealing with PCE contamination from a dry cleaner once located on the property. Thomas' team literally SAVED me MILLIONS. Not only that but Thomas completely removed the headaches of dealing with the County Environmental Health folks and California Environmental Protection Agency (CAL EPA) who were breathing down my throat."
-- Judge McInnis, Property Owner, Fairfield, CA.

"When I found out that there was PCE under my dry cleaner I knew I was in trouble and knew that there was no way that I could sell the property. Already in Escrow, the buyer dropped me like a hot potato and the State of California's Department of Toxic Substance Control came after me with a vengeance. They charged me over $87,000 and sent letters threatening enforcement if I did not pay. Then, Thomas came to my rescue! Not only did Thomas get the regulators bills paid but also all of the environmental and legal fees. So far it's over $1.5 million and before the remediation is complete, the costs will be in the multi millions. To date, I have not paid a single dime! Thank you so much Thomas!"

-- Brian Sher, Dry Cleaner, San Pedro, CA.
